Moore & Tibbits

Rebranding and website for a 190 year old law firm

For nearly two centuries, Moore & Tibbits has built a reputation for trusted legal expertise, personal service and long-standing client relationships.

As the firm continued to evolve, it needed a modern digital presence and refreshed brand identity that reflected both its heritage and its forward-thinking approach.

HTDL was appointed to deliver a complete rebrand and website redesign that would reposition the firm online, improve user experience and create a stronger platform for future growth.

The existing brand and website no longer reflected the quality, professionalism and breadth of services offered by the firm. Navigation was dated, content was difficult to access and the user experience lacked the clarity expected from a modern legal practice.

The challenge was to create a more contemporary identity while retaining the credibility and trust associated with a well-established solicitors practice. The new website also needed to improve accessibility across mobile and desktop devices, support ongoing content growth and strengthen online visibility through improved structure and SEO foundations.

At the same time, the project required a careful balance between tradition and innovation — modernising the brand without losing the heritage and reputation that clients valued.

Our approach

We began with a strategic review of the firm’s positioning, audience and digital presence. Working closely with the Moore & Tibbits team, we developed a refreshed visual identity designed to feel more confident, approachable and professional while remaining appropriate for the legal sector.

The new branding introduced a cleaner visual language, refined typography and a more flexible design system that could be applied consistently across digital and printed communications.

Alongside the rebrand, we designed and developed a fully bespoke website focused on usability, accessibility and performance. Built on the Umbraco CMS platform, the site gives the Moore & Tibbits team the flexibility to manage content internally while providing a robust and scalable digital foundation for the future.

Website features

Key features of the new website included:

  • A streamlined user journey with simplified navigation

  • Mobile-first responsive design across all devices

  • Clear service pages structured around user intent

  • Improved calls-to-action and contact pathways

  • Flexible Umbraco CMS integration

  • Enhanced SEO architecture and metadata structure

  • Faster page performance and improved accessibility

  • Modern visual styling aligned with the new brand identity

The site was carefully designed to make legal services easier to explore and understand, helping prospective clients quickly find the information they need while reinforcing the professionalism and credibility of the firm.

The result

The completed rebrand and website transformed the digital presence of Moore & Tibbits, delivering a more modern, engaging and accessible experience for both new and existing clients.

The refreshed identity helped reposition the firm visually within a competitive legal marketplace, while the new website significantly improved usability, mobile performance and content management capabilities.

By combining strategic branding, thoughtful UX design and robust web development, HTDL created a digital platform that supports the next phase of growth for the business while respecting the heritage of a firm with more than 190 years of history.
