Food Store International approached HTDL with an opportunity to launch a new baked confectionery brand into a competitive retail market. While the business had a strong understanding of its target audience and an established presence in the sector, it needed a distinctive brand that would stand out on shelf and resonate with consumers across multiple markets.
The brief was to create a memorable brand name and visual identity for a range of baked products, including muffins, cookies and doughnuts. The packaging needed to be highly visible in retail environments while also supporting both English and Arabic languages, ensuring broad appeal across diverse consumer groups.
We developed the name Hudson Bakes, creating a warm, premium and approachable brand that reflected the quality of the products while delivering strong shelf presence. The visual identity combined contemporary typography with a distinctive colour palette and bespoke packaging design, helping the brand stand apart from competitors and create immediate recognition.
To support retail merchandising, we also designed packaging and point-of-sale materials that created a consistent brand experience across product ranges and in-store displays.
The finished Hudson Bakes brand successfully brought together premium bakery credentials with mass-market appeal. The dual-language packaging system enabled the products to communicate clearly across multiple markets, while the bold identity created a strong visual impact in-store. The result was a cohesive retail brand designed to drive customer engagement, enhance product visibility and support future growth.
