Adding a bit of kerb appeal
Earlier this year Terberg Matec UK, a division of Dennis Eagle, awarded HTDL the opportunity to help create a simple, yet effective design to help their new Kerbloader stand out.
The Kerbloader is Terberg Matec UK’s self-discharging, multi-material collection solution developed specifically for kerbside operations that collect dry recyclables with an option to also collect food waste.
It makes safe and efficient collection of multiple recyclable streams possible by a combination of a high level automated plastic/can press system, various hand loaded compartments, a rear mounted card press unit and various storage compartments.
Working to the brand guidelines provided, we decided early on that we would separate the various compartments by various colour ways. To distinguish between the multiple recyclable streams and food waste, we implemented some clean and simple illustrations, taking into account the size and build of the Kerbloader itself.
The Kerbloader has already been showcased at a number of events including Letsrecycle Live and the Recycling & Waste Management Expo, where the feedback was fantastic.
